Newsarama is reporting that writer Brian Azzarello and artist Eduardo
Risso will be doing a six issue run on BATMAN starting with BATMAN 621.
This will be followed by another run by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee who will
also do a six issue run. Editor Bob Schreck stated that he wanted to give
Loeb and Lee time to rest before they worked on another Batman arc as
they are preoccupied with other work as well. Azzarello and Risso did
a backup story for Gotham Knights and worked on the critically acclaimed

A "Dork" to play Batman?
source: Dark Horizons, Batman
on Film
Dark Horizons has an interesting rumour. They are reporting that Ashton
Kutchner is in talks to play Batman in Chris Nolan's film. Kutchner recently
tested for Superman but said that he didn't want the role. Batman on Film
had this to say regarding this rumour
"I don't know whether or not Ashton Kutcher met with Chris
Nolan, but the word is that Nolan is meeting with actors regarding the
'Batman' role. He's met with Boreanaz and some others, so I guess it
is possible. But I wouldn't put too much stock into it just yet."

Update on Darren Aronofsky's Batman project
source: Aint it Cool
Harry Knowles has posted an article submitted to him. The scooper says
that Darren Aronofsky came to his campus and spoke about his work. He
mentioned his projects including Year One. Here is what he said
"Aronofsky said that he wrote a faithful adaptation of Year
One with Frank Miller. Warner Bros. owns the screenplay and he understands
that they are very protective of the Batman franchise and is unsure
about what will become of it. He did say that is is definitely not his
next film."
More Batman movie Rumours

Batman Special Edition DVD's on the way?
source: Toonzone
Interesting news from the folks at Toonzone. They posted some Batman related
news from Home Theatre Forum's Chat with Warner Home Video. The WB rep
stated that the studio was planning special editions of the first two
Batman films to tie into the new movie's releases. The rep was also asked
if Warner Home Video would release season sets of the animated series
on DVD. The response "No plans for season sets on animated Batman at this
time." Finally when asked about animated box sets to tie in with the new
films The rep said that they would "pass your Batman animated boxed sets
request onto our family-brand group."
-Rumours for special edition Batman DVD's have come and gone for years
so I would definitely wait and see regarding this one. One of the reasons
why there aren't special Batman DVD's is because Burton doesn't want
to participate in helping to make them (i.e. commentaries etc) Would
people mind Batman SE DVD's without Burton? maybe maybe not. I would
also love to see a Special Edition of Batman Forever since that one
has been rumoured for years no.-AJ
UBI Soft to make new Batman game. Features a brand new
villain
source: Gamers
Ubi Soft is hard at work on another Batman game to follow up Batman: Vengeance
called Batman: Rise of Sin Tsu. Like the other (apparently very poor )
Batman: Dark Tomorrow, this game also has some input from the folks at
DC. Artist Jim Lee has designed the main villain of the game Sin Tsu.
The game will be released for all three consoles.
- I wasn't too impressed with Batman Vengeance and the Reviews
for Dark Tomorrow have been for the most part dreadful. Let's hope this
game breaks the trend though I wish Ubi Soft would make a Batman game
in the same style as their hit Splinter Cell. To read more about this
