Superman/Batman # 20 sold out
source: DC Comics

DC Continues to see successes with its comics. Here is a press release on Superman/Batman # 20

Superman/Batman #20 Sells Out Press Releases SUPERMAN/BATMAN #20 (FEB050262), the first chapter of the 6-part “With a Vengeance” storyline, has sold out at DC Comics less than a week after arriving in stores on June 1. This fast-paced adventure reunites SUPERMAN/BATMAN writer Jeph Loeb with the series original art team of Ed McGuinness & Dexter Vines.

“This feels like the equivalent of having the #1 movie in the country,” says Loeb. “SUPERMAN/BATMAN has consistently been a top seller, and that’s because our readers and retailers have been incredibly loyal. None of this success would be possible without the art team responsible for launching S/B, Ed “MC2” McGuinness and Dexter Vines. It is their kinetic energy that makes this one of the most fun reads this summer, and at the end of the day, that’s what SUPERMAN/BATMAN has always been about: the joy of comics!” Loeb adds, “This is the start of ‘With a Vengeance,’ and apparently it’s taking the title seriously. There are lots of guest stars still to come, including some you will never believe would appear in a mainstream DC comic — so let the guessing begin!”

“SUPERMAN/BATMAN continues to be a very strong seller for DC,” says Bob Wayne, DC’s VP — Sales. “Retailers should check their orders on the coming issues to be sure they will have enough copies on hand.” Upcoming issues of SUPERMAN/BATMAN are available as follows: · SUPERMAN/BATMAN #21 (MAY050210) is solicited in the May Previews (Volume XV #5) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on July 20. · SUPERMAN/BATMAN #22 (JUN050348) is solicited in the June Previews (Volume XV #6) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on August 31. Also, the SUPERMAN/BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES TP (JAN050285) is available for reorder. This title collects SUPERMAN/BATMAN #1-6, the previous issues by Loeb, McGuinness & Vines. DC Comics has no plan to go back to press on SUPERMAN/BATMAN #20 at this time. Please note that copies of the issue still may be available at retail.
