Emerson won his nickname in the streets in
Cleveland, when he knocked down the local
bully with a single swing.
He went to Vietnam and after a brief career in both the army and in the police force, Samuel became a P.I. partly because he did not like discipline and partly because of his sense of justice. The mayor assigned Slam to a very important job, to find Catwoman, because she was thought to be dead. Slam caused some trouble trying to find her and that got her attention. She asked him to drop the case and leave her alone. Since then they have become good friends and work together to protect their part of the city. Slam has admitted that he's in love with Selina. |
